Airborne SSD Ethernet Recorder
Product Code: NET/REC/002
The Curtiss-Wright Controls Avionics & Electronics (CWC-AE) Airborne SSD Ethernet Recorder is a compact, rugged recorder that logs Ethernet packets from onboard networks.
The NET/REC/002 is a stand-alone recorder that logs Ethernet packets from onboard networks at up to 90Mbps. It supports unicast, multicast and broadcast IP packets. The recorder is live on power-up to ensure minimal data loss during power outages and has an operating range of -40 to 85°C.
A PC identifies the recorder’s solid state media as a FAT32 drive so that the data is instantly accessible with no need for proprietary hardware or software. The NET/REC/002 can be configured via the Ethernet port. The START/STOP switch enables the initiating and terminating of recording, while the EVENT button enables the marking of key events during the recording process. An I/O connector is available for remote START/STOP, EVENT controls and digital IRIG-B time in.
Recorded data can be read directly from the SATA cartridge using an eSATA cable or with a dedicated desktop PC drive bay. Data files are created in the popular open PCAP (packet capture) format and are readable by many other third party software products, including ACRA CONTROL’s GS Works 7 display and analysis package without the need for a dedicated playback or transport unit.
