Ethernet switch (Xbar, SNMP, GPS, IRIG-B) - 8 port
The NET/SWI/003 is a Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for operating in harsh environments. Each port on the NET/SWI/003 is full-duplex only and can be set for 10BaseT, 100BaseTX, 1000BaseT link speeds or auto-negotiate.
The NET/SWI/003 has a store-and-forward Xbar switching fabric that uses the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMPv2c) to configure user-defined static forwarding tables and filtering as defined in “RFC4188: Definitions of Managed Object for Bridges”. The Xbar static forwarding table defines how incoming Ethernet frames received on a given port are forwarded to the output of one or more egress ports, thereby allowing greater flexibility to forward Ethernet frames to any egress port from any ingress port.
The output of each port has filtering capabilities allowing for selective forwarding of Ethernet frames to the connected end node. The filter comprises a lookup table of up to 31 entries of destination multicast MAC address and outgoing Ethernet ports to which the filter may be applied. Moreover, the filter can be configured for pass or reject selection criteria.
The NET/SWI/003 does not retransmit Ethernet frames which are received with FCS (Frame Check Sequence) errors.
