Solid State Data Recorder Mission Video Data Recording
Description
The MVDR is a multi-channel video data recorder, designed to record up to six full resolution channels of video, audio and data. Data is recorded on a Removable Data Cartridge, which is then extracted and processed with the REVEAL Data Visualisation and Analysis Tool, to provide synchronised playback of all recorded video and data channels.
MVDR records STANAG 3350B video and optionally CVBS and S- Video. MVDR allows individual video channels to be recorded from cameras and instrument sources.
The recorder can be controlled from the front panel, or remotely via bus through a comprehensive selection of RCCM-based commands. Specific aircraft functions may be recorded synchronously as events, to permit subsequent rapid review of areas of interest in the recording.
The MVDR, being rugged and qualified to Mil-Std 810E, is suitable for a wide variety of challenging operational environments, including fast jet and helicopter applications.
MVDR uses solid state recording media to enhance reliability and a comprehensive built-in test capability to minimise the costs of maintenance and repair. The MVDR features quick release mountings for DZUS rail installation to standard MS25212 control panel dimensions, allowing rapid development of specific installation schemes.
